The blind box project, centered on the theme “Nothing continues the Buddhist thought of Kong, blurring the scale of daily necessities, constructing an unconstrained system,” interprets this concept through the creation of de-scaled models of rulers, clocks, scales, and thermometers.
Dullness is a kind of attitude, a kind of spirit, and a type of practice. It embodies a way of living and thinking that values simplicity and contentment. In contrast, overly intelligent individuals often constantly compete, striving to outdo others and achieve more. They are perpetually engaged in the hustle and bustle, always seeking the next significant achievement. However, in the end, this relentless pursuit of success and cleverness leaves them weary and exhausted. Embracing dullness means appreciating the quiet moments, finding joy in the mundane, and understanding that true fulfillment comes from within rather than external accomplishments. It’s about letting go of the need to constantly prove oneself and finding peace in a balanced and thoughtful way of life.
This project is a tribute to the renowned graphic designer David Carson and his distinctive typographic style. Carson is celebrated for his radical approach to design, breaking traditional rules and creating visually arresting compositions. My book design project will incorporate Carson’s avant-garde and experimental elements, utilizing irregular typography, fragmented text, and bold image treatments to explore the dynamic relationship between text and visual work.
Our project delves into the significance of the physiological expression of “tears” through information visualization. By exploring the scientific underpinnings and emotional dimensions associated with tearing, we aim to uncover this universal human phenomenon’s physiological transformation and psychological implications. We seek to elucidate the chemical composition by applying infographic and installation design.
