\nThe design of these shoes is inspired by the eight trigrams and the five elements in traditional Chinese culture, especially the \u201cwood\u201d in the five elements and the \u201cXun Gua\u201d in the eight trigrams. The Xun Gua symbolizes external rigidity and internal flexibility, just like the toughness and softness of the plant cell structure. We explored the structure of plant cells and used parametric design techniques to incorporate their unique geometry and flexibility into the appearance and structure of the shoe.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”4037″ img_size=”full” onclick=”link_image”][vc_column_text]Project4: Bamboo Inlay Incense Burner
